  • 2 plant-based sausage
  • 8 vegan deli slices
  • 4 thick slices of bread
  • 8 dairy-free cheese slices
  • 2 tablespoons vegan butter
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

In a large saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the tomato paste, cook for another 2 minutes to caramelize slightly.

Add the canned diced tomatoes, vegan beer, and vegetable broth. Stir well to combine.

Add the bay leaf and paprika, then season with salt and pepper. Lower heat and let the sauce simmer for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Remove the bay leaf before serving.
