  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground cloves
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground ginger
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Brown sugar, packed
  • 0.5 cup Unsweetened applesauce
  • 0.5 cup Vegetable oil
  • 1 cup Almond milk (or any non-dairy milk)
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, and salt until well blended.

Step 3

In another bowl, combine the brown sugar, applesauce, and vegetable oil. Mix until well combined.
