Ingredients

  • 4 pieces vegan sausages
  • 4 pieces hot dog buns
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 large red bell pepper
  • 4 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 4 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 cup sauerkraut
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the grill to medium heat. If you don't have a grill, a grill pan can also work.

Step 2

Peel and slice the onion into thin rings. Slice the red bell pepper into strips.

Step 3

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and bell pepper, season with salt and black pepper, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are soft and slightly caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 4

Brush the vegan sausages with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil to prevent sticking. Place them on the preheated grill.
