Ingredients

  • 4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2.25 teaspoons Instant yeast
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 1.5 cups Unsweetened almond milk
  • 4 tablespoons Vegan butter
  • 1 tablespoon Neutral oil (like canola or vegetable oil)

Directions

Step 1

In a small saucepan, melt the vegan butter over low heat and then add the almond milk, warming until lukewarm (about 100°F / 38°C).

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well.

Step 3

Pour the warmed almond milk and butter mixture into the dry ingredients and stir to combine. Knead the dough in the bowl for about 3-4 minutes until it forms a sticky, elastic ball.

Lightly grease a separate large bowl with 1 tablespoon of neutral oil and place the dough in it. Cover with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
