Ingredients

  • 1 15-ounce can Chickpeas, canned
  • 0.5 cup Rolled oats
  • 0.25 cup Red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 4 Whole grain burger buns
  • 1 Avocado, sliced
  • 1 Tomato, sliced
  • 4 leaves Lettuce leaves
  • 0.25 cup Vegan mayonnaise

Directions

Step 1

Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water. Shake off excess water and place them into a large mixing bowl.

Step 2

Add rolled oats to a food processor and pulse until turned into a coarse flour. Add to the mixing bowl with the chickpeas.

Step 3

With a potato masher or fork, mash the chickpeas and oats together until most of the chickpeas are broken down.
