Ingredients

  • 200 grams Vegan chicken
  • 200 grams Green cabbage
  • 1 large Carrot
  • 3 stalks Green onions
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 30 pieces Vegan dumpling wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 0.25 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch

Directions

Step 1

Finely chop the vegan chicken to mimic the texture of ground meat.

Step 2

Thinly slice the green cabbage and place in a bowl with a pinch of salt. Let it sit for 10 minutes, then squeeze out the excess water.

Step 3

Grate the carrot and chop the green onions. Mince the garlic cloves and grate the ginger.

Step 4

In a large bowl, combine the vegan chicken, cabbage, carrot, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well to combine all ingredients.

Step 5

Lay a dumpling wrapper flat on a work surface. Place a tablespoon of filling in the center of the wrapper.

Step 6

Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold over to enclose the filling, pressing to seal the edges. Use your fingers to create pleats for a traditional look. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.

Step 7

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

Step 8

Arrange half of the potstickers in the skillet, flat-side down, being careful not to overcrowd. Cook until the bottoms are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 9

Carefully pour in 1/8 cup of water, cover immediately with a lid, and reduce heat to medium. Steam for 5 minutes until the water has evaporated.

Step 10

Uncover and cook for another 1-2 minutes to crisp up the bottoms again.

Step 11

Repeat the cooking process with the remaining dumplings and the remaining tablespoon of oil.

Step 12

Serve potstickers hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
