Ingredients

  • 4 pieces vegan chicken cutlets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1.5 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup dairy-free mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 12 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.

Add the vegan chicken cutlets and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from heat and set aside.
