  • 2 cups Masarepa (precooked cornmeal)
  • 2.5 cups Warm water

  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 cup Vegan cheese (e.g., mozzarella or cheddar-style shreds)
  • 2 tablespoons Vegan butter

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the masarepa and salt.

Gradually add the warm water to the dry ingredients while mixing with your hands until it forms a smooth dough. Let it rest for 5 minutes to allow the dough to hydrate.

Divide the dough into eight equal portions and roll them into balls.

Flatten each ball into a disc about 1/2 inch thick.
