Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rice Flour
  • 0.5 cup Tapioca Starch
  • 0.25 cup Cornstarch
  • 2.5 cups Water
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 0.25 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Maple Syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped Spring Onions
  • 1 tablespoon White Sesame Seeds

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine the rice flour, tapioca starch, cornstarch, and salt.

Step 2

Gradually add water while stirring to form a smooth, lump-free batter. Set aside to rest for about 10 minutes.

Step 3

Prepare a flat steaming tray by brushing it lightly with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.

Step 4

Fill a large pot or steamer with water and bring it to a boil.

Step 5

Place the oiled tray on top of the steaming pot. Pour in a thin layer of batter, just enough to cover the bottom.

Step 6

Cover the pot and steam the batter for about 2-3 minutes until it becomes translucent and sets.

Step 7

Carefully remove the tray from the steamer. Using a spatula, gently lift and roll up the cooked rice sheet into a log shape.

Step 8

Transfer the roll to a serving plate and repeat the steaming process with the remaining batter.

Step 9

In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, maple syrup, and sesame oil to make the sauce.

Step 10

Cut the rice noodle rolls into bite-sized pieces and drizzle them with the sauce.

Step 11

Garnish with chopped spring onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
