  • 200 grams Granulated sugar
  • 60 ml Water
  • 1 teaspoon Red food coloring (vegan-friendly)
  • 1 pinch Sea salt

Directions

Step 1

Prepare the apple cups by slicing off the top of each apple and carefully hollowing out the inside with a melon baller or spoon, leaving about 1/4-inch thick walls. Set aside the scooped apple flesh for the ice cream and refrigerate the hollowed apple shells.

Step 2

For the ice cream, in a blender, combine the reserved apple flesh, coconut milk, applesauce, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.

Transfer the ice cream mixture to an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions. Once churned to a soft-serve consistency, transfer to a lidded container and freeze for at least 2 hours.
