Ingredients

  • 500 grams All-purpose flour
  • 7 grams Instant yeast
  • 25 grams Sugar
  • 10 grams Salt
  • 300 milliliters Warm water
  • 30 milliliters Olive oil
  • 30 grams Vegan butter, melted
  • 5 grams Black sesame seeds
  • 15 milliliters Almond milk

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, mix together the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt.

Step 2

Create a well in the center of the dry mixture and add the warm water and olive oil.

Step 3

Mix the ingredients until they form a slightly sticky dough.

Step 4

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Step 5

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Step 6

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Step 7

Punch down the risen dough and turn it out onto a floured surface.

Step 8

Divide the dough into two-thirds and one-third portions. Divide the larger portion into three pieces. Shape two of these pieces into elongated oval shapes for the bunny body, and the third piece into a ball for the head.

Step 9

Place the body shapes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, overlapping slightly. Position the head ball at one end of the body shapes.

Step 10

Take the smaller portion of the dough and divide it into smaller pieces for the bunny’s ears, paws, and tail.

Step 11

Roll two pieces into elongated ears; attach them to the head by slightly tucking them under.

Step 12

Shape small balls for paws and attach them to the body.

Step 13

Use a tiny bit of dough to create a small circle for the tail and attach it accordingly.

Step 14

Brush the formed bunny bread with almond milk to help it brown evenly.

Step 15

Use black sesame seeds to make two eyes on the bunny’s head.

Step 16

Cover the bunny bread lightly with a damp cloth and let it rest for another 15 minutes.

Step 17

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until lightly golden brown.

Step 18

Remove the bread from the oven and brush it with melted vegan butter for a glossy finish.

Step 19

Allow the bread to cool slightly before serving.
