  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 medium Onion, diced

  • 2 tablespoons Tomato paste
  • 3 tablespoons Maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Liquid smoke
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Water

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2

In a large oven-safe pot or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Step 3

Add the diced onion and sauté for 5-7 minutes, or until translucent.

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
