  • 2 cups Vital wheat gluten
  • 4 tablespoons Nutritional yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Ground coriander
  • 4 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1.5 cups Vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 4 pieces Pita bread
  • 1 head Lettuce
  • 2 medium Tomato
  • 1 medium Cucumber
  • 1 small Red onion
  • 1 cup Vegan yogurt
  • 2 cloves Fresh garlic
  • 0.5 bunch Fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the vital wheat gluten, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, ground cumin, ground coriander, and salt. Mix well to evenly distribute the spices.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, vegetable broth, tomato paste, lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 3-5 minutes, until it becomes stretchy.
