Ingredients

  • 150 grams Unsalted butter
  • 100 grams Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 piece Egg yolk
  • 250 grams All-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 30 grams Powdered sugar

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes using a hand or stand mixer.

Step 3

Add the vanilla extract and egg yolk to the butter and sugar mixture. Mix until well combined.

In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until the dough comes together into a soft but non-sticky ball.
