  • 2 tablespoons coarse sugar (optional, for topping)

Directions

Step 1

Prepare the pastry: In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt. Using a pastry cutter or your hands, cut in the chilled unsalted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
