  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons Maple syrup
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the rice under cold water and add it to a medium saucepan with 3 cups of water. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender. Fluff with a fork and set aside.

Step 2

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and diced onion, and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
