Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground turkey
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 4 pieces Long sandwich rolls
  • 4 leaves Lettuce
  • 2 medium Tomatoes
  • 4 pieces Cheddar cheese slices
  • 0.25 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Mustard

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently but thoroughly until the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a rectangular patty that will fit the length of the sandwich rolls.

Step 3

Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once hot, place the turkey patties in the skillet.

Step 4

Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and fully cooked with an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Step 5

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomatoes into thin rounds and prepare the lettuce leaves by rinsing and patting them dry.

Step 6

Optional: Toast the sandwich rolls in the skillet or under a broiler until lightly golden for added texture.

Step 7

In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and mustard together to create a tangy burger spread.

Step 8

Assemble the burgers by spreading the mayonnaise-mustard mixture on the inside of each roll. Add a lettuce leaf, a turkey patty, a slice of cheddar cheese, and 2-3 slices of tomato to each roll.

Step 9

Close the sandwich rolls and serve the turkey long burgers immediately. Optionally, pair with fries, chips, or a side salad.
