Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground turkey
  • 0.3333 cup Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
  • 0.5 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper, freshly ground
  • 0.5 cup Cranberry sauce (whole berry or jellied)
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 4 Burger buns, toasted
  • 4 pieces Lettuce leaves
  • 4 slices Tomato slices
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, Gorgonzola cheese, panko breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty about 1/2-inch thick.

Step 3

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the turkey patties and cook for about 5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove the patties from the heat and set aside.

Step 4

While the patties are cooking, make the cranberry mustard by whisking together the cranberry sauce and Dijon mustard in a small bowl until smooth. Set aside.

Step 5

To assemble the burgers, spread a generous amount of cranberry mustard on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Layer with a lettuce leaf, a cooked turkey patty, a tomato slice, and the top half of the bun.

Step 6

Serve the burgers immediately and enjoy the flavorful combination!
