Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground turkey
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Lime juice
  • 0.25 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 medium Ripe mango
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro
  • 4 pieces Burger buns
  • 4 leaves Lettuce
  • 8 pieces Tomato slices

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, lime juice, breadcrumbs, and the egg. Mix gently until just combined.

Step 2

Divide the turkey mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Make a small indent in the center of each patty with your thumb to help them cook evenly.

Step 3

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the turkey patties and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they are fully cooked and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Remove from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.

Step 4

While the burgers are cooking, prepare the mango sauce. Peel and dice the mango, then add it to a blender or food processor along with the honey and fresh cilantro. Blend until smooth and set aside.

Step 5

To assemble the burgers, lightly toast the burger buns if desired. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a turkey patty. Top with two slices of tomato and a generous dollop of mango sauce. Cover with the top half of the bun.

Step 6

Serve the burgers immediately with your favorite sides and enjoy!
