Ingredients

  • 4 cups Artichoke hearts
  • 8 Eggs
  • 0.5 pounds Ground beef or lamb
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Ground coriander
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Parsley, finely chopped
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round or square baking dish with a small amount of olive oil.

Step 2

Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened and fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.

Add the ground beef or lamb to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the turmeric, coriander, black pepper, and salt. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.

If using fresh artichoke hearts, trim and boil them until tender, about 10-15 minutes. If using canned or frozen artichokes, drain or thaw as needed. Chop the artichokes into bite-sized pieces.
