Ingredients

  • 2 cans (5 ounces each) canned tuna (in water, drained)
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 stalk celery (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons red onion (finely diced)
  • 2 tablespoons pickled jalapeños (chopped)
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices sliced bread of choice
  • 1 tablespoon butter (softened)
  • 2 pieces lettuce leaves
  • 1 small tomato (sliced)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, hot sauce, and lemon juice. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

Step 2

Add the finely chopped celery, diced red onion, chopped pickled jalapeños, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix until evenly distributed through the tuna mixture.

Lightly butter one side of each slice of bread.

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the buttered side of two slices of bread down onto the skillet.
