Ingredients

  • 2 5-ounce cans Canned tuna
  • 1 large Egg
  • 0.5 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil (for frying)
  • 0.5 cup Ranch dressing (store-bought or homemade)

Directions

Step 1

Drain the canned tuna thoroughly and add it to a mixing bowl. Flake the tuna with a fork until it’s finely shredded.

Step 2

Add the egg, panko breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper to the bowl with the tuna.

Step 3

Mix all the ingredients together until well combined and the mixture holds together when pressed.

Step 4

Shape the mixture into 4 evenly-sized patties. If the mixture is too wet, add a bit more breadcrumbs. If it’s too dry, add a small amount of mayonnaise.

Step 5

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 6

Once the oil is hot, carefully place the tuna patties into the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

Step 7

Remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

Step 8

Serve the tuna patties warm with a side of ranch dressing for dipping or drizzling. Optionally, pair with a side salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
