Ingredients

  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.

Step 2

In a large skillet or saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the poppy seeds and stir for 1–2 minutes to toast them lightly.

Step 3

Reduce the heat to low and add the cream cheese to the skillet. Stir until the cream cheese has melted and is smooth.

Step 4

Pour in the milk gradually, whisking continuously to create a creamy sauce.

Step 5

Add the shredded cheddar cheese and grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce, stirring until fully melted and combined.

Step 6

Season the sauce with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

Step 7

Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet with the cheese sauce. Toss until the noodles are fully coated with the sauce.

Step 8

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley, if desired, and serve hot.
