Ingredients

  • 4 pieces medium potatoes
  • 2 pieces carrots
  • 4 pieces eggs
  • 1.5 cups cooked ham
  • 5 pieces pickles
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Start by washing the potatoes and carrots thoroughly. Cook them in a pot of boiling water for around 15-20 minutes or until tender. Drain and allow to cool before peeling.

Step 2

While the potatoes and carrots are cooking, place the eggs in a separate pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Let them cook for about 10 minutes. Drain and transfer to a bowl of cold water to stop the cooking. Once cooled, peel the eggs.

Step 3

Dice the cooled potatoes, carrots, and eggs into small cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.

Step 4

Dice the pickles and the cooked ham into similar-sized cubes and add them to the mixing bowl.

Step 5

Blanch the frozen peas by cooking them in boiling water for 2-3 minutes. Drain and run under cold water to halt cooking, then add to the mixing bowl.

Step 6

Add the mayonnaise to the bowl along with salt and ground black pepper. Gently mix all the ingredients together until everything is well-coated with the dressing.

Step 7

Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Step 8

Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
