  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp ground black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Prepare the vegetables: dice the yellow onion and carrot, and mince the garlic cloves.

Step 2

In a Crock Pot, add the crushed tomatoes, chicken or vegetable broth, diced onion, minced garlic, and diced carrot.

Add the butter, sugar, dried basil, salt, and ground black pepper to the Crock Pot.

Cover the Crock Pot with its lid and set it to cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2 hours.
