Directions

Step 1

Rinse the tomatillos thoroughly under cold water to remove their sticky residue, then pat them dry with a kitchen towel. Chop each tomatillo into quarters.

Wash the cherry tomatoes and pat them dry. Slice each one in half.

Layer the chopped tomatillos, halved cherry tomatoes, and fresh basil leaves in a large sterilized glass jar (at least 1-quart capacity).
