Ingredients

  • 12 oz Elbow macaroni
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 3 cups Whole milk
  • 3 cups Tillamook Aged Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Tillamook Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.75 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and set aside.

Step 2

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the elbow macaroni until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Step 3

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture forms a smooth paste.

Step 4

Gradually whisk in the milk, about 1/2 cup at a time, ensuring the mixture remains smooth. Continue whisking until the sauce thickens, about 4-5 minutes.

Step 5

Lower the heat to medium-low and stir in the shredded Tillamook Aged Cheddar and Sharp Cheddar cheeses. Mix until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.

Step 6

Add the Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to the cheese sauce. Stir until well combined.

Step 7

Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce, ensuring all the pasta is evenly coated. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.

Step 8

In a small bowl, mix together the panko breadcrumbs, olive oil, and grated Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the macaroni and cheese.

Step 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and crispy.

Step 10

Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy your creamy, cheesy Tillamook Aged Cheddar Macaroni and Cheese!
