  • 500 grams Ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 4 slices Beetroot slices (canned, drained)
  • 2 slices Pineapple rings (grilled or canned)
  • 2 large Fried eggs
  • 4 slices Bacon rashers
  • 2 slices Cheddar cheese slices
  • 4 slices Tomato slices
  • 4 Lettuce leaves
  • 4 slices Onion rings (grilled or caramelized)
  • 2 Burger buns (sesame seed preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato sauce (ketchup)
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 3 large Potatoes (for chips)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat.

Step 2

Form the ground beef into two equal patties about 1.5 cm thick. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

Step 3

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in the skillet and cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or to your preferred doneness. During the last minute, place a slice of cheese on each patty and cover to let it melt. Set aside.

Cook the bacon in the same skillet until crispy, then set aside on paper towels to drain excess grease.

Place the pineapple rings on the grill or skillet and cook for about 1-2 minutes per side, just long enough to caramelize them slightly. Set aside.
