Ingredients

  • 1 sheet Frozen puff pastry sheet
  • 2 cups Fresh spinach
  • 4 ounces Cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 1 large Egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour (for dusting)

Directions

Step 1

Thaw the puff pastry sheet according to the package instructions (generally about 20-30 minutes at room temperature).

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 3

In a medium skillet, sauté the spinach over medium heat until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Transfer it to a cutting board, let it cool slightly, then chop finely.

Step 4

In a medium bowl, mix the chopped spinach, softened cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Step 5

Lightly flour a clean work surface and roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet to smooth any creases. Cut the sheet into 8 equal squares.

Step 6

Place about 1 tablespoon of the spinach mixture in the center of each square.

Step 7

Fold each square diagonally to form a triangle, then press the edges together to seal. For a decorative touch, crimp the edges with the tines of a fork.

Step 8

Place the filled pastries on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

Step 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the puffs are golden brown and flaky.

Step 10

Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!
