Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds Ground beef
  • 0.5 pounds Ground pork
  • 1 medium Yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 2 pieces Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 2 large Eggs, lightly beaten
  • 0.5 cup Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, and minced garlic.

Step 3

In a separate small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and milk; let sit for 2–3 minutes to allow the breadcrumbs to absorb the liquid.

Step 4

Add the soaked breadcrumbs, beaten eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, salt, and black pepper to the meat mixture. Mix thoroughly with your hands until everything is evenly combined, but do not overmix.

Step 5

Lightly grease a standard loaf pan or line it with parchment paper. Transfer the meat mixture into the pan, pressing gently to shape it.

Step 6

In a small bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, brown sugar, and an additional tablespoon of ketchup to create the glaze.

Step 7

Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

Step 8

Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 50–60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Step 9

Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Step 10

Serve warm with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes or a fresh green salad.
