  • 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons, chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 pound, cooked according to package instructions spaghetti
  • 0.5 cup, for serving grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the diced onion, chopped carrots, and celery. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until softened and fragrant.
