Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Chicken breasts
  • 1 cup (shredded) Smoked gouda cheese
  • 0.5 cup (shredded) Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves (minced) Garlic
  • 1 cup Dry white wine
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons (chopped) Fresh parsley

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2

Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet or rolling pin. Pat dry with paper towels.

Step 3

Set up a breading station: Place flour in one shallow dish, whisk eggs in a second dish, and mix smoked gouda, parmesan, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a third dish.

Step 4

Coat each chicken breast in flour, shaking off the excess, then dip in the beaten egg, and finally press into the cheese-breadcrumb mixture to coat evenly. Set aside.

Step 5

Heat olive oil in a large, oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown (do not fully cook through).

Step 6

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Remove and set aside.

Step 7

In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Step 8

Carefully pour in the white wine, scraping the browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Simmer for 3-4 minutes to reduce slightly.

Step 9

Stir in the heavy cream and let the sauce gently simmer for another 2-3 minutes until thickened. Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.

Step 10

Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, spooning the creamy wine sauce over each piece. Sprinkle with fresh parsley.

Step 11

Serve hot with a side of mashed potatoes, pasta, or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
