Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey (lean)
  • 0.5 cup dried breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cup cranberry sauce (smooth or chunky)
  • 4 brioche burger buns
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 sliced tomatoes

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, dried sage, dried thyme, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and egg. Use your hands to gently mix everything together until evenly combined.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1/2-inch thick.

Step 3

Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat and add the vegetable oil. Once hot, cook the turkey patties for 5-6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F). Remove from the skillet and set aside to rest.

Step 4

In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise and cranberry sauce until smooth and well combined. Set the cranberry mayo aside.

Step 5

Lightly toast the brioche buns in the same skillet or on the grill until golden brown.

Step 6

To assemble the burgers, spread a generous layer of cranberry mayo on the bottom and top halves of each bun. Place a turkey patty on the bottom bun, followed by a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato. Cover with the top bun.

Step 7

Serve the Thanksgiving Turkey Burgers immediately and enjoy!
