Ingredients

  • 0.5 pounds ground pork
  • 2 pieces green onions (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (grated)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 20 pieces wonton wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 0.25 cups water
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (for dipping sauce)
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 0.5 teaspoons sesame oil (for dipping sauce)
  • 0.25 teaspoons red chili flakes
  • 1 piece green onion (thinly sliced, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, chopped green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well until thoroughly combined.

Step 2

Place one wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Add 1 teaspoon of the pork mixture to the center of the wrapper.

Step 3

Wet the edges of the wrapper with water using your fingertip. Fold the wrapper in half to form a semicircle, pressing the edges to seal tightly.

Step 4

Repeat this process until all the pork filling is used.

Step 5

Prepare the dipping sauce by whisking together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, and red chili flakes in a small bowl. Set aside.

Step 6

In a large non-stick skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Arrange the pot stickers in the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until the bottoms are golden brown.

Step 7

Carefully add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet and immediately cover with a lid. Allow the pot stickers to steam for 5-7 minutes, or until the water has evaporated and the pork filling is cooked through.

Step 8

Remove the lid and let the pot stickers cook for an additional minute to re-crisp the bottoms.

Step 9

Transfer the pot stickers to a serving plate and garnish with thinly sliced green onions.

Step 10

Serve warm with the prepared dipping sauce.
