Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Tempeh
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Fennel seeds
  • 0.5 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 cup Water

Directions

Step 1

Crumble the tempeh into small pieces using your hands or a box grater and place it in a medium-sized mixing bowl.

Step 2

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce or tamari, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, fennel seeds, dried oregano, crushed red pepper flakes, black pepper, and water.

Step 3

Pour the marinade over the crumbled tempeh and mix well to fully coat the tempeh in the seasoning. Let it sit for 5 minutes to absorb the flavors.
