Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground turkey
  • 1 pound Ground sirloin (85% lean)
  • 1 medium Yellow onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 0.75 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.25 cup Ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 cup Ketchup (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Apple cider vinegar

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a standard loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Step 2

In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and milk. Let this mixture sit for 5 minutes until the breadcrumbs soak up the milk.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, ground sirloin, soaked breadcrumbs, diced onion, minced garlic, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, Dijon mustard, paprika, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Use your hands or a large spoon to mix everything together until evenly combined.

Step 4

Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan, pressing it down gently and smoothing out the top to form an even loaf shape.

Step 5

In a separate small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar for the glaze. Spread this mixture evenly across the top of the meatloaf.

Step 6

Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 55–60 minutes, or until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of the meatloaf reads 160°F (71°C). If the glaze starts to brown too quickly, cover the top loosely with aluminum foil.

Step 7

Once cooked, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest in the pan for 10 minutes. This will make it easier to slice and help retain the juices.

Step 8

Carefully transfer the meatloaf to a serving plate, slice, and serve warm.
