Ingredients

  • 6 medium Tomatoes (fresh and ripe)
  • 3 medium Carrots
  • 2 pieces Celery stalks
  • 1 medium Cucumber
  • 1 medium Red bell pepper
  • 1 cup Spinach leaves
  • 1 cup Parsley (fresh)
  • 1 medium Lemon (juice only)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoons Hot sauce (optional)
  • 1 cup Water

Directions

Step 1

Prepare your vegetables: wash the tomatoes, carrots, celery, cucumber, red bell pepper, and spinach thoroughly. Peel the carrots and cucumber if desired.

Step 2

Roughly chop the tomatoes, carrots, celery, cucumber, and red bell pepper into smaller pieces to fit into your blender or juicer.

Step 3

In a blender or food processor, combine the chopped vegetables, spinach leaves, parsley, and 1 cup of water. Blend until smooth.

Step 4

If using a juicer, process the vegetables according to your juicer’s instructions instead of blending.

Step 5

Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a large bowl to remove pulp. Use the back of a spoon to press out as much juice as possible.

Step 6

Transfer the strained juice to a medium saucepan and heat over medium-low for about 5–10 minutes until warmed through. Do not boil, as doing so may alter the flavor.

Step 7

Stir in the lemon juice, salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce (if using). Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

Step 8

Allow the juice to cool, then transfer it into a pitcher or glass bottles. Refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours to chill before serving.

Step 9

Shake well before serving and enjoy cold. For best flavor, consume within 2–3 days.
