  • 200 g smoked cod roe
  • 100 g day-old bread (crusts removed)
  • 50 ml milk
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 150 ml olive oil
  • 2 small garlic cloves
  • 1 small onion
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Soak the bread: Tear the day-old bread into small pieces and place them in a small bowl. Pour the milk over the bread and let it soak for about 5 minutes until the bread is fully softened.

Prepare the cod roe: If the smoked cod roe has a skin, carefully remove and discard it.

Blend the ingredients: In a food processor, add the softened bread (squeeze out excess milk if necessary), smoked cod roe, lemon juice, and peeled garlic cloves. Pulse until well combined.
