Ingredients

  • 250 grams all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 150 grams granulated sugar
  • 200 grams tahini
  • 200 milliliters fresh orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 100 grams raisins
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease and line a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and ground cloves.

Step 3

Add the granulated sugar to the dry ingredients and whisk to combine.

In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the tahini, fresh orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract until well combined.
