  • 4 tablespoons Water
  • 2 tablespoons Rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger (minced or grated)
  • 1 teaspoon Szechuan peppercorns (ground)
  • 1 teaspoon Crushed red chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Canola oil

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, water, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, and honey. Set the mixture aside.

In another small bowl, mix the cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water to create a slurry. Set aside.

Heat the canola oil in a small saucepan over medium heat.
