Thoroughly rinse the Swiss chard under cold water to remove any dirt or grit. Pat dry and separate the leaves from the stems. Chop the stems into small pieces and roughly chop the leaves. Set aside.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Peel and mince the garlic. Dice the onion. Add both to the skillet and sauté for about 3-4 minutes, or until the onion is softened and translucent.
Add the chopped Swiss chard stems to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are tender.
Stir in the cooked lentils and season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
Add the Swiss chard leaves to the skillet and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, allowing the leaves to wilt completely.
Remove the skillet from the heat and drizzle lemon juice over the mixture. Toss gently to combine.
Transfer the Swiss chard and lentil mixture to a serving dish and crumble feta cheese on top.
Serve warm as a main course or a side dish. Enjoy!
