Ingredients

  • 1 lb Pork tenderloin
  • 0.25 cup Soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup Honey
  • 2 tbsp Sriracha sauce
  • 2 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp Ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 2 stalks Green onions, finely sliced
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds
  • 2 cups White rice (optional, for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Trim any excess fat from the pork tenderloin, and cut it into thin slices, about 1/4 inch thick.

Step 2

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, Sriracha sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and brown sugar to create the marinade.

Step 3

Place the sliced pork in a zip-top plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour half of the marinade over the pork, reserving the other half for later. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for richer flavor.

Step 4

When ready to cook, heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add a small drizzle of sesame oil or neutral oil if the skillet isn’t nonstick.

Step 5

Remove the pork from the marinade, shaking off the excess. Discard the used marinade. Sear the pork slices in the hot skillet in a single layer, cooking for 2-3 minutes per side until nicely browned. Cook in batches if needed to prevent crowding.

Step 6

Once all the pork is cooked, set it aside on a plate. Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet and bring it to a gentle simmer.

Step 7

In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water until smooth. Slowly stir this mixture into the simmering marinade to thicken it. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Step 8

Return the cooked pork to the skillet and toss to coat the slices evenly in the thickened sauce. Let it cook for another 2-3 minutes to heat through.

Step 9

Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot over steamed white rice, if desired.
