Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 cup Roasted red peppers (jarred or homemade)
  • 4 slices Provolone cheese slices
  • 4 pieces Burger buns
  • 0.25 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 clove Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 4 pieces Lettuce leaves
  • 1 medium Tomato (sliced)

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise with minced garlic. Set aside to develop flavor while preparing the other components of the burger.

Step 2

Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat. Lightly grease with olive oil to prevent sticking.

Step 3

Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and gently shape into patties, about 4 inches in diameter. Avoid over-handling to keep the patties tender.

Step 4

Season both sides of the patties with salt and black pepper.

Step 5

Cook the patties on the preheated grill for about 4 minutes on the first side, then flip and cook for another 3 minutes on the second side for medium doneness. Adjust cooking time based on your preferred level of doneness.

Step 6

About 1 minute before the patties are finished cooking, place a slice of provolone cheese on each patty to melt.

Step 7

While the patties cook, split the burger buns and toast them lightly on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until golden.

Step 8

Assemble the burgers by spreading the garlic aioli on the bottom halves of the toasted buns. Layer with a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, a cooked beef patty topped with melted provolone, and a few pieces of roasted red pepper.

Step 9

Top with the remaining half of the bun, serve immediately, and enjoy!
