Ingredients

  • 2 racks Pork ribs
  • 0.25 cups Brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoons Cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 cups Honey
  • 0.5 cups Ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Hot sauce

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).

Step 2

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs by sliding a knife under it, grabbing it with a paper towel, and pulling it off carefully.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

Step 4

Rub this spice mixture generously over the entire surface of the ribs on both sides.

Step 5

Wrap each rack of ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place on a baking sheet, meat side up.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 hours, or until the ribs are tender and the meat pulls away easily from the bone.

Step 7

While the ribs are baking, prepare the glaze: in a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the honey, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and hot sauce. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.

Step 8

Once the ribs are done baking, carefully unwrap them from the foil and place them on a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper.

Step 9

Brush the ribs generously with the glaze on both sides.

Step 10

Increase the oven temperature to 450°F (230°C) or set your broiler to high.

Step 11

Place the ribs back in the oven and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the glaze is bubbly and caramelized. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.

Step 12

Remove the ribs from the oven, let them rest for 5 minutes, then cut into individual portions and serve hot. Enjoy!
