Ingredients

  • 8 pieces Bone-in chicken thighs
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, prepare the marinade by mixing BBQ sauce, honey, soy sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Step 2

Place the chicken thighs in a large bowl or zip-top bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it's evenly coated. Reserve 2 tablespoons of the marinade for later use. Let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours for maximum flavor.

Step 3

Set your pressure cooker to sauté mode. Add olive oil and brown the chicken thighs, about 2 minutes on each side. This step adds flavor but is optional if you're short on time.

Step 4

Pour the chicken broth into the pressure cooker, making sure the liquid covers the bottom. Place the trivet in the pot and arrange the marinated chicken thighs on the trivet.

Step 5

Seal the pressure cooker lid and set it to cook on high pressure for 12 minutes. Once the cooking cycle is complete, allow a natural pressure release for 5 minutes, then carefully perform a quick release for any remaining pressure.

Step 6

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.

Step 7

Remove the chicken from the pressure cooker and brush with the reserved marinade. Place the chicken on the grill, skin side down. Grill for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the chicken is caramelized and has a nice char.

Step 8

Serve the Sweet BBQ Pressure Cooker Grilled Chicken hot with your favorite side dishes, like coleslaw, corn on the cob, or baked beans. Enjoy!
