Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground pork
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger (grated)
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 4 pieces Burger buns
  • 4 slices Pineapple rings
  • 1 piece Jalapeños (sliced)
  • 4 pieces Lettuce leaves
  • 4 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Honey

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, soy sauce, brown sugar, sriracha, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until evenly combined.

Step 2

Divide the pork mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a round patty, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indent in the center of each patty with your thumb to ensure they cook evenly.

Step 3

Preheat a grill or skillet to medium heat. Lightly oil the surface to prevent sticking.

Step 4

Cook the pork patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C). Remove from heat and let rest for 2-3 minutes.

Step 5

While the patties are resting, lightly grill the pineapple rings for 1-2 minutes on each side until they caramelize slightly.

Step 6

In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and honey to create the burger sauce.

Step 7

Assemble the burgers: Spread the honey mayo sauce on the bottom half of each bun, add a lettuce leaf, place the pork patty on top, followed by a grilled pineapple ring, and a few slices of jalapeño. Top with the other half of the bun.

Step 8

Serve immediately and enjoy your sweet and spicy pork burgers!
