  • 2 tbsp Olive oil (for browning)
  • 0.5 cup Plum jam
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Ginger, grated
  • 0.25 cup Water
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch
  • 2 stalks Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, minced garlic, grated onion, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until evenly combined.

Step 2

Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs, approximately 20-24 meatballs in total, and set them aside on a plate.

Step 3

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches and brown them on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the plum jam, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, tomato paste, grated ginger, and water. Stir well to combine and bring the sauce to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
