Ingredients

  • 120 ml Yellow mustard
  • 60 ml Honey
  • 45 ml Apple cider vinegar
  • 30 g Brown sugar
  • 10 ml Soy sauce
  • 2 g Garlic powder
  • 1 g Ground ginger
  • 1 g Salt
  • 30 ml Water

Directions

Step 1

In a medium saucepan, combine yellow mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, and water. Stir well to mix the liquids together.

Step 2

Add brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, ground ginger, and salt to the saucepan. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

Step 3

Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring consistently to prevent burning.

Step 4

Allow the mixture to cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring often, until the mustard thickens slightly and the flavors meld together.

Step 5

Remove the saucepan from heat and let the mustard cool to room temperature. It will thicken further as it cools.

Step 6

Transfer the mustard to a clean glass jar or airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Step 7

Serve as a condiment with burgers, sandwiches, grilled meats, or roasted vegetables, or use as a marinade or glaze.
