  • 8 pieces Imitation crab sticks or smoked salmon
  • 0.25 cup Soy sauce (for dipping)
  • 2 tablespoons Pickled ginger (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Wasabi (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.

Step 2

Combine the rinsed rice and water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to low heat, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes or until the water is fully absorbed.

Remove the rice from heat and let it sit covered for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved.
