Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1.5 cups Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Brown sugar
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.75 cup Creamy peanut butter
  • 0.25 cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Milk

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, add the semi-sweet chocolate chips and stir until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and brown sugar. Pour in the melted butter and chocolate mixture, stirring until the sugars are fully dissolved.

Step 4

Add the eggs one at a time, whisking after each addition to fully incorporate. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Step 5

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Step 6

Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.

Step 7

In a medium bowl, stir together the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth and creamy. Spoon this mixture over the brownie batter layer, spreading it as evenly as possible.

Step 8

Top with the remaining brownie batter, spreading it carefully to cover the peanut butter layer completely.

Step 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the brownie (avoiding the peanut butter layer) comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Step 10

Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares and serving. For cleaner cuts, refrigerate the brownies for 30 minutes before slicing.
